We can take many different things from this poster and we could use some parts of it on our own poster. Gollem has been one of the audiences favourite characters since his apperance in the Two Towers. They have chosen to use him as the USP to gain maximum publicity from the audience.
  • Firstly the main focus of the poster is the new film to do with Lord Of The Rings. With many people anticipating the new film it will be sure to sell. Also buy using a big picture of one of the favourite characters 'Gollem', will attract a big audience. Anyone who looks at the cover will recognize that this issue of Empire that it is going to be based around Lord Of The Rings.
  • The Background used is the location of where you would expect to find Gollem. This works well and makes the image seem more realistic. It also is a genre indicator of adventure with mountains and rocks being used.
  • Another part to analyze is the font and style of the title 'Hobbit'. It is in the well known font used for the previous Lord Of The Rings films. Again this will tell the audience that it is going to be focused on this new film.
  • Below the title of the film is a small caption about the film. By putting this is helps sell and gives information in to what the feature will include.
  • Above the title of Empire is a title which says ' Three Incredible Exclusives'. The word Incredible is in the colour gold, highlighting the importance of the exclusives this magazine have got. By putting this title in it will sell the magazine and show it off.
