Audience feedback about the film trailer : Evaluation

After completing our film trailer we showed it to our classmates and this was their opinion on some of the questions asked about film.

Question 1
How was editing in the trailer effective?

Classmate reply
Editing was very slow, which built up tension due to the transitions.

Question 2
How were titles used?

Classmate reply
They used clear white title font and for emphasis they used red dots and question marks which could insinuate violence or even death.

Question 3
Questions about narrative and what the plot may be?

Classmate reply
The trailer shows that there is a bad person in it but don't know who that may be.

Question 4
What was effective about mise en scene?

Classmate reply
The main location being a house is effective because it alienates people from their own house.

Classmate 2 reply
The location being a house makes it a familiar setting for the audience and you can relate yourself to the characters.

Question 5
What could make the production even better?

Classmate reply
The trailer could flow a bit better.

Classmate 2 reply
The shots were a bit jumpy at times and you don't know if they are flowing with the narrative or not.

Taking the classmates opinions i am very pleased about our finished trailer as some of the questioned asked were to find the little mistakes that were made and there were only a few. The trailer gave me positives than negatives therefore i am very pleased with the final product.
