Institutions

There are thousands of film made every day and many are made by the huge companies, but others are made by smaller sized companies. If our film was going to be made we'd need one. Below is some of the films some companies have made in recent times:

Universal Studios - The Strangers 2008

The Fourth Kind 2009

Drag Me To Hell 2009

Hannibal 2001

Paramount Pictures - Midnight Manhunt 1945

Psycho 1960

Friday The 13th 2009

Paranormal Activity 2009

Lionsgate- Alone In The Dark 2002

Hostel 2005

Teeth 2007

Haunting In Connecticut 2009

Twisted Pictures - Saw Franchise 2003 - Present

Catacombs 2007

Dead Silence 2007

The Tortured 2009

Looking at the film companies above if we were looking to create this film on a low budget and a low scaled advertising campaign then we would choose Twisted pictures. They have made the very popular Saw series but apart from that they seem to make only low key films. Also they seem to work mostly on horros which is another reason.

However if we could get more funds for special effects, proper actors, suitable lighting and better editing equipment then we'd probably try use Universal Studios. This is because they have made many films and if our film was made by them it would be noticed by much more people. They have made horror hits like the strangers which is very popular and if we could get the same kind of advertising campaign then we'd be sorted. Also it would be easier to get our film into cinemas, like the odeon and Vue. This is becasue with Universal being a big American Film company and cineams being owned by big American Business men, they will be much more favourable putting in a American film than, lets say a British film.
